WHAT MAKES YOU EXCITED ABOUT COMING TO WORK EVERYDAY:Every day is different and that brings opportunities to learn something new from how you lead cross-functional teams effectively to how the move to digital impacts measuring quality of healthcare across the delivery system. Healthcare has become extremely dynamic and NCQA gives me the opportunity to be at the forefront of change. Being in Product means that we get to wrestle with big problems that often do not have an easily solution.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB:Getting on the phone with customers and key stakeholders or meeting them in-person to better understand how our programs can help them improve healthcare outcomes for the populations they servetheir goals and challenges is the best part of my job. At the end of the day, everyone who works in healthcare wants to know that they are making a positive difference in helping individuals live better and healthier lives. That includes me. The best part of my job is hearing success stories from our customers who have implemented our frameworks for quality improvement and have seen transformative results for their members.
WHAT MAKES NCQA A GREAT PLACE TO WORK:Flexibility and a sense of community. I have three small children and I don’t want to miss them growing up: school events, field trips and so much more. I haven’t had to make that choice while at NCQA and that matters a whole lot to me. NCQA has always been a hybrid working place with many of our colleagues working remotely even prior to COVID. Our Great Places to Work Committee comes up with creative ideas about how to engage us in fun events both in-person and remotely. We are currently competing in a “move challenge,” which gets us on our feet a little bit more than usual.
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS:The work we do at NCQA is challenging and rewarding at the same time. We get to develop impactful programs, measures, and services thanks to the talented individuals who come together every day to solve big problems. I am honored to be a part of this impactful work for over a decade now.

WHAT MAKES YOU EXCITED ABOUT COMING TO WORK EVERYDAY: Recognizing the importance of the work that NCQA does and its impact on health care. A critical component to my role as a marketer is to help other teams articulate the value of our work. It’s motivating knowing that we play an important role in improving health care quality.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB: The diversity in the work I get to do. Almost every day is different, and each week offers new challenges and accomplishments.
WHAT MAKES NCQA A GREAT PLACE TO WORK: It's the people. I'm lucky to work with engaging, interesting and intelligent people on a daily basis. Having the opportunity to learn from industry experts has helped me grow in my own role.
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS: NCQA’s rapid growth has given me the opportunity to take on new responsibilities that I would not necessarily have elsewhere.
