BPRP identifies physicians who provide high-value, patient-centered care for patients with back pain. The program is designed with an understanding that patients may seek the care of various types of practitioners—primary care, spine specialists, chiropractors—for treatment of an episode of back pain. Accordingly, the measures reflect that physicians should provide high-quality care from the outset of patient contact and understand and consider previous treatment history to help avoid inappropriate treatment.

Back Pain Recognition Program Package
This package includes 2007 BPRP Program Requirements, as well as the 2007 BPRP Data Collection Tool and application. The Package contains all the information you need to apply for Recognition.

This requires Microsoft Word 2003 (or higher), Adobe Reader and internet access supported by Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher) or Mozilla Firefox.

Note: Use of the Data Collection Tool is required for Recognition.
