NCQA’s Technical Assistance Project (TAP) is aimed at small, independent primary care physician practices that often serve as safety-net care for underserved minority populations. But such practices often lack the funding and technical support to undertake large-scale quality improvement initiatives tailored to their patient populations.
Therefore, NCQA is working with project partners to choose small practices in select regions to implement quality improvement projects targeted to minority populations. Practices will receive technical assistance throughout a one-year learning collaborative to implement an initiative to address CLAS/disparities. The project is funded by The California Endowment.
The project kicked off in November 2006. For more information on project goals, contact minoritygrants@ncqa.org.
