Important Note for Health Information Product certification - please read before purchasing HIP publications:

With the release of the Wellness and Health Promotion (WHP) Product Suite for public comment on June 2, 2008, NCQA is transitioning three HIP certification options to WHP. Organizations interested in pursuing HIP certification in these three areas -- Health Risk Appraisals (1), Interactive Consumer Health Tools (2) and Encouraging Wellness and Prevention (5) – must submit an application by June 30, 2008 and start their surveys no later than October 1, 2008. After October 1, 2008, NCQA will no longer offer certification in these three areas under the HIP certification program. If you have additional questions, please contact Customer Support.

Note: The 2008 HIP Standards and Guidelines are effective November 1, 2007.

Standards and Guidelines for the Certification of Health Information Products

Survey Tool for the Certification of Health Information Products

The Survey Tool includes all information needed to prepare and submit materials for an NCQA survey. Organizations applying for certification must complete the Survey Tool and submit it to NCQA to begin the survey process.

For web-based products, NCQA does not make any commitments with respect to the use or performance of the Software and Services with browsers other than Netscape 6.0 or higher, MS Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher. Please review the license agreement for web-based tools prior to purchase.
