NCQA aligned these two HIP certifications with the related WHP standards in July of 2009. The new certifications are:

• Self-Management Tools

The 2009 HIP Standards and Guidelines are effective October 1, 2009.

Standards and Guidelines for the Certification of Health Information Products

This publication outlines the standards and features explanations and examples of how to meet the standards, scoring guidelines, points and certification outcomes. Survey Tool for the Certification of Health Information Products

The Survey Tool includes all information needed to prepare and submit materials for an NCQA survey. Organizations applying for certification must complete the Survey Tool and submit it to NCQA to begin the survey process.
