What’s New?

Notice of Program Changes: 

  • NCQA is revising the current PPC-PCMH Standards. Click here for commonly asked questions and answers about the release of the PCMH 2011 standards and the retirement of the PPC-PCMH 2008 standards. 

  • Application fees have changed effective 7/1/2010. See specific program pages for the new Pricing Fee Schedule under “Program Information”.

  • Increased eligibility for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in many Recognition programs. Click here for more information.

  • New Business Associate Amendment required to your existing or planned Recognition program agreement. The new HITECH/ARRA requirements are in the new application materials and the Recognition Portal (DRP and HSRP). Current recognized clinicians and practices have been mailed an updated BAA to sign and submit. See the article in the recent “Recognition Notes”.


 

Resources for 2010 PQRI Participation

Clinicians who have earned DRP, HSRP or BPRP  Recognition from NCQA may opt to have NCQA submit their clinical quality data to Medicare for use in the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) for 2010.

PPC- Patient-Centered Medical Home (PPC-PCMH)

Back Pain Recognition Program (BPRP)

Recognizes physicians who take a patient-centered approach and deliver care in accordance with widely accepted, evidence-based guidelines.


Diabetes Recognition Program (DRP)

Recognizes providers who demonstrate that they provide high-quality care to patients with diabetes.


Heart/Stroke Recognition Program (HSRP)

Recognizes physicians who demonstrate that they provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions or who have had a stroke.


Physician Practice Connections (PPC)

Recognizes physician practices that use up-to-date information and systems to enhance patient care.
