Ralph W. Muller
Ralph_Mueller.jpgRalph Muller is CEO of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He was, from 1985 to 2001, the President and CEO of the University of Chicago Hospitals. He is a member of the Board of Directors at the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and a Commissioner on the Joint Commission (JC).

Mr. Muller served as Commissioner on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), Chairman of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), Chairman of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH), Chairman of the National Opinion Research Council (NORC) and Vice Chairman of the University Healthsystem Consortium (UHC). He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Mr. Muller received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in government from Harvard University.
