Next Steps To Advance Using Aggregated Data In Quality Measurement

In November, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) announced the results of its Data Aggregator Validation (DAV) program pilot.
Three health information exchanges in New York state earned “Validated with Exception” status; each has the ability to use in HEDIS Measurement Year 2020 reporting.
What’s Next? Early Adopter Phase
The Early phase of the DAV program began in November and ends in February 2021. Its purpose is to work with various types of organizations to identify additional operational and customer support needs.
NCQA selected the following organizations for this phase:
Organizations that complete the Early Adopter phase with a “Validated” or “Validated with Exception” status will have the ability to share validated clinical data sources as standard supplemental data for use in HEDIS MY 2020 reporting.
The consulting firm QMetrics is the validator for this phase of the program.
Coming in 2021
NCQA plans a full program launch in summer 2021 and will communicate related information as it becomes available.
