Digital Quality Summit: Coming Together for Quality
October 30, 2018 · NCQA Communications
Last year, NCQA and HL7 hosted our first Digital Quality Summit. The summit’s goal is simple: bring together the best and brightest minds in the health IT sector to collaborate on emerging technologies to improve health care quality.
Last year’s summit signaled success. We made a lot of progress. So, this year, we’re hosting another Digital Quality Summit in Washington D.C., November 14.
Interoperability is a key word for the event. We want to make sure the systems that manage and store electronic health records can better share data so patients receive the most informed care possible. During this summit, we’ll bring together a variety of quality improvement stakeholders—all of whom have some role in the delivery of care and the technology that tracks it. That includes: measure development experts, clinicians, government policy professionals, public health officials, data handlers, vendors and payers.
They’ll team up to brainstorm ideas to improve electronic health records systems so that they can share and receive data from other systems. Our use case for this exercise will of course be quality measurement. If you work with health care data in any way, you don’t want to miss this distinct opportunity to pave the way for the future.
The Summit will include a few keynote addresses to guide and encourage. They will be delivered by some of the industry’s most important voices including David Blumenthal of the Commonwealth Fund, Chris DeRienzo of Mission Health, Charles Jaffe of HL7, Blackford Middleton of Apervita and NCQA’s very own Peggy O’ Kane.
This year’s summit will be held at Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington D.C on November 14th and 15th . Space is limited, so be sure to register for your spot today. You can also find a full list of who’s attending here.
