NCQA hosted a webinar on June 10, 2019 giving an overview of NCQA’s Population Health Management Prevalidation program.
The Population Health Management Prevalidation program reviews vendors’ health IT solutions to determine their ability to support population health management functions.

In this webinar, NCQA addressed the basics of PHM Prevalidation, including an overview of all elements related to prevalidation and how prevalidation fits into NCQA’s Health Plan Accreditation and Population Health Accreditation. The webinar also covered the reasons why health plans, managed behavioral health organizations, case management organizations or population health management organizations would want to work with prevalidated vendors including how those organizations receive credit for working with prevalidated vendors. NCQA Business Development also shared what they have heard from client organization who have expressed interest in working with prevalidated vendors.

Natalie Mueller, MPH
Natalie is a Senior Manager in Product Development and has been with NCQA since 2015. In this role, she updates existing accreditation products and creates new accreditation and certification products to meet market and customer needs. She attended Penn State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science and the University of Pittsburgh for her master’s in public health.
Chris Vernick
Chris is Senior Sales and Business Development Lead and has been with NCQA since 2018. Chris helps organizations understand the value of NCQA programs, and in particular the return from investing in programs like Population Health Prevalidation. Chris has over 20 years of business development and sales experience in the healthcare industry, with unique perspectives gleaned from working at organizations such as Siemens, the ECRI Institute, and Huron Consulting (The Studer Group). Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts from Penn State and Masters in Public Administration from the American University.
