Person-Centered Care in Selma and Montgomery, Alabama

NCQA traveled to Selma and Montgomery, Alabama, to learn how the state’s Medicaid Agency is spearheading an effort to improve the quality of care at its 13 Area Agencies on Aging.
NCQA Accreditation of Case Management for Long-Term Services and Supports helps support organizations that coordinate LTSS by providing a framework for quality improvement. To improve standardization and integration of person-centered care, the Alabama Medicaid Agency used ACL No Wrong Door Grant funding for the state’s Area Agencies on Aging to earn the NCQA Accreditation.
