Quality Talks 2016: You Have to See It to Believe It
May 2, 2016 · Matt Brock
Check out this video. It is our latest promotional video for Quality Talks 2016 coming up on October 24.
So, why are we writing on the blog about this so early? Well, seats are going fast. We’re getting close to the summer vacation season and we want to make sure you get in before it is too late.
We’ve also nailed down the list of people who’ll be speaking. Quality Talks is unlike any health care conference you have experienced. That’s because it’s not a health conference, per se. It’s informative. It’s inspiring. It’s an opportunity to meet movers and shakers in the health care quality space. It’s also just plain fun.
Quality Talks 2016: Speakers Set
Our speakers this year include the director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, Dr. Nora Volkow. She’ll talk about the opiate addiction crisis facing the country. The first order of business, she says, is to tackle the issue by integrating behavioral health into the primary care routine.
How about this? One of Wal-Mart’s top executives is also delivering a talk. Yes, retail behemoth Wal-Mart. Marcus Osborne, Wal-Mart’s vice president of Health and Wellness Transformation has some thoughts about health care. The familiar greeter you always see at Wal-Mart stores may play a metaphor for his thoughts.
And there’s Dr. Laura Esserman. You could call her a pioneer in cancer care and research. She has made it a habit of questioning the status quo to try new things. So far, it’s working. Her story will encourage you to rethink what you are doing whether it’s directly caring for patients or developing policy.
That’s just a taste of what we’ve gathered for your visit to Quality Talks 2016. We’ll be profiling all our speakers here in the blog in the coming months. But don’t wait to register. You don’t want to regret it in the fall.
