NCQA is developing a software solution to help organizations configure and process clinical quality measures for a variety of use cases.
NCQA invites organizations to apply for the Digital Quality Solutions pilot, beginning March 1.
The pilot gathers leading organizations in health care quality measurement, including Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) certified vendors, health plans and health systems, to guide development of executable clinical quality content and physical testing of NCQA’s new measure processing software system. The pilot will be collaborative and feature workshops and feedback sessions with participants.
Pilot participants will inform, test, and provide feedback on NCQA’s initial Digital Quality Solutions product offering.
The Digital Quality Solutions pilot program lets you help guide NCQA product development. As a digital quality trailblazer, you can be at the cutting edge of influencing quality measures software that can help organizations gain meaningful insights and make sound decisions based on trusted data.
Organizations can:
- Participate in the design of digital solutions to reduce the burden of quality measurement through automation and by aligning measurement across levels of accountability throughout the health care system.
- Inform product development at NCQA to maximize long-term value for their program, health plan/system and/or health plan clients.
- Be considered a Digital Quality Solutions Trailblazer as an early adopter of the final NCQA Digital Quality Solutions product offering. NCQA may develop case studies and press releases based on your experience and to promote your participation.
Pilot participation is limited to 5–10 organizations. Selected organizations must contribute a participation fee to support the costs of the pilot, which includes convening the pilot, preparing materials and training participants.

How Can We Participate in the Pilot?
NCQA will select applicants based on their alignment with pilot requirements and objectives and resource commitment. The application process is open from March 1–March 25. NCQA will select 5–10 organizations to participate. Applicants will be notified of their participation status by April 8. Read the request for participation for more details.
What Types of Organizations Can Participate?
Certified HEDIS® vendors, health plans and health systems that use HEDIS® measures today may participate.
How Will Participation Help My Organization?
The Data Quality Solutions pilot program gives you the opportunity to inform product development at NCQA and maximize long-term value for your program, health plan/system and/or health plan clients. As a digital quality trailblazer, you can inform the development of the software.
