WASHINGTON, DC—The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is proud to announce Lisa Slattery will join NCQA as Vice President, Accreditation & Recognition Operations, on July 11.
“We’re delighted to have Lisa Slattery join our team,” said NCQA President, Margaret E. O’Kane. “Her vast experience in the private health care sector in developing clinical quality strategy and leading organizations through NCQA accreditation will help us as we expand and advance the quality agenda.”
“With the shift from pay for volume to pay for outcomes and efficiency, the conversations around what defines true quality healthcare have become more crucial than ever before,” says Slattery. “I am honored and excited to join NCQA, an organization that shares my deep passion for leveraging best available evidence, in conjunction with the voice of the patient, provider, and payer to drive healthcare quality to the next level.”
Slattery will oversee the growth and delivery of all NCQA evaluation programs, including Health Plan Accreditation and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition.
She comes to NCQA from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, where she served as Vice President Enterprise Quality and directed corporate clinical quality strategy across the Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare lines of business. Previously, Slattery held senior quality roles at Health First, where she led her teams through NCQA accreditation.
Slattery began her career as a Physical Therapist which soon led to roles overseeing rehab services and quality programs. She returns to Washington after having run the Marine Corps Marathon in 2006.
