WASHINGTON, DC—The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is proud to announce that our president, Margaret E. O’Kane, has been named to Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare 2016. This is O’Kane’s 11th year on the list, which includes leaders from the private, public and non-profit health care sectors.
The ranking is testament to O’Kane’s commitment to ensuring quality through measurement, transparency and accountability. Modern Healthcare recognized her leadership in “a national movement that has changed the landscape of the nation’s health system.”
“I am deeply humbled to be included on a list of people who are dedicating their life and work to improving health care in the United States,” said O’Kane. “I thank Modern Healthcare for this honor, and for recognizing that hard work and commitment are moving health care forward.”
President Barack Obama tops the 2016 list, where “enduring influence” is a central theme this year.
