Many women work in health care quality. What does it take to lead and thrive at the field's highest levels? This episode of Quality Matters previews a panel discussion that answers those questions. We hear from panelists and the moderator of the Women in Quality event at NCQA’s Health Innovation Summit 2024.
Listen On:
Vanessa Guzman uses her experience as a systems engineer and quality improvement executive at a billon-dollar health system to help organizations solve complex problems. Her training programs and strategies for hospital admissions have saved or earned clients millions of dollars. Vanessa also coaches individuals and groups to build their skills and advance their careers.
Khanh Nguyen has over 15 years of experience creating payer-provider collaborations. Her leadership around care innovations, social determinants of health and health disparities, patient engagement, system integrations for enhanced point-of-care solutions, and provider incentive programs broke new ground in California’s managed care environment.
Lynn Todman uses her background in urban planning to align health equity activities across integrated health care systems. She has held teaching and research positions worldwide. Dr. Todman is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leader and a former Mayor Pro Tem and City Commissioner of St. Joseph, Michigan.
The first one will focus on cultivating oneself, understanding your purpose, walking your journey. What does that look like? The second segment will be focused on connection and collaboration. How to build meaningful relationships; how to build a trusted network. And then the third will be focused on creating and expanding that culture of quality. What areas of your life and workforce meet your goals and objectives? How are you tracking and measuring those processes?
When you combine those, you’re manifesting the goals that you have set.
